Are you looking for answers about lead times or pricing? We’ve detailed the answers to frequently asked questions below.

  • Do I need to order my dress on the day?

    As we are visiting, we would encourage to order on the day. We can offer pre-consultations to help in the run up to your appointment.

    How will I have my fittings?

    We will be able to recommend seamstresses. You should allow 4-6 weeks for alterations.

    How long will it take to make my dress?

    Orders placed during the pop up will be delivered in November 2023.

    What if I want to try my dress on again?

    Sadly, we are in town for 2 weeks only so you won’t be able to do this after we've left but this is very normal as many brides in London wait 8-12 months to try their dress on at their first fitting. We will help you feel secure in your choice, no pressure, so you will know it's 'the one'.

    What is the average price of your dresses?

    We offer a large selection of separates as well as dresses which start from $3500 and average around $4000-$6000.

    Will you have your entire collection?

    Unfortunately not. As we rarely discontinue styles our collection is vast so Kate & the team have handpicked key styles that you will love and plenty of them.

    What sizes will be available to try on?

    We will aim to offer a selection of sizes from UK10- UK16.

    How many guests can I bring to my appointment?

    We welcome 2-3 guests maximum.

    What does the appointment fee cover?

    The fee secures your own private time with a Halfpenny stylist who will help you navigate all things bridal. They have a wealth of experience and will ease any worries and always make it magical. You will also be given a gift bag with wonderful goodies to take away with you.

    How much is the appointment fee?

    The appointment fee is $75 which is non-refundable.

    Will I have to pay any tax or duty on the delivery of my dress?

    No. The price will include taxes and duties.

    What happens if there is a problem with my dress?

    Each item passes 3 stages of quality control before its lovingly packed and shipped to you so we envisage no problems at all. You will of course have your very own point of contact that will help with any eventuality.

    What if I change my mind?

    If you change your mind and want to cancel your order you will lose the deposit paid. If you wanted to change your order there would be fees applied if time allows this. Full details will be in the T&Cs

    Planning on losing weight, can I confirm my size close to the time?

    Of course. We appreciate that many brides order well in advance of their wedding date so it's very common for dress sizes to change. If time allows, we can hold a dress size at the time of ordering and then your point of contact will reach out closer to the time to confirm new measurements. We can offer a virtual appointment to help guide you if needed.

    Can I take photos?

    We avoid photos being taken throughout the consultation but, when you have your favourite your stylist will take some great pictures for you as you won’t be able to re-try until it is shipped to you.

    Will I have a point of contact in UK?

    Yes, you will have contact from the very beginning so that when you meet, you're already acquainted and they will be able to help you throughout your journey.

    Will I pay for shipping?

    Prices will include shipping, we will arrange everything for you and update you with tracking.
