Gorgeous Jasmyn | A real Halfpenny London bride
Beautiful bride Jasmyn married her new husband David in a fabulously colourful Day of the Dead inspired London ceremony in Chelsea Town Hall followed by a spectacular Mexican honeymoon.
"David and I aren’t religious or very traditional so when it came to planning a wedding we knew we would do things our own way. We booked our honeymoon first and then worked back from that which suited us well. We had always wanted to go to the Day of the Dead festival in Mexico at the beginning of November so set the wedding date on the last Friday in October so we could fly the next day. We wanted an intimate ceremony with immediate family only so it meant there were only 10 of us on the day. This way we could also afford an extra special lunch and could relax and talk around one table. After a laid back day, we wanted to totally switch things up and have a big party we could invite everyone to."
Jasmyn was lucky enough to find our sequinned Lydia dress at our sample sale. (Sign up to our mailing list if you'd like to hear about any future events!)
"I got an email about a sample sale at Halfpenny London and managed to get the first appointment in the day. I tried on 4 or 5 beautiful dresses in a room full of other bride to be’s. There was a great atmosphere and I didn’t feel pressure to buy as I knew I had a gorgeous dress I could wear for the whole day if I didn’t get another. I then tried on a vintage style lace and sequin dress, which I fell in love with instantly. They added a simple veil and I was the first to buy a dress that day."
Congratulations Jasmyn! We are so happy you were able to find your perfect dress with us and we wish you every happiness in your new adventures together!
Love,
Kate & the Halfpenys xx
