Gorgeous Lydia | A real Halfpenny London bride

I love working with brides to realise their vision of their perfect wedding dress and I knew from the minute I met Lydia we would have a Halfpenny London Love affair and create something spectacular. 

Lydia and her gorgeous beau, Ali, tied the knot at the end of 2017 in a fairytale ceremony followed by a fabulous party, not to mention the night before rehearsal party at the venue.  Their wedding was full of the most lovely personal touches and Lydia discusses her day and what worked - or didn't work - for the couple over on her website in a brilliantly personal post.

Lydia was a dream client to work with and I loved her final choice of the Riri skirt and a bespoke top for the ceremony.  We created the top specifically for Lydia and she looked absolutely epic, the dreamy wintery bride, so effortless and elegant!  The low back and covered buttons looked amazing paired with the endless ruffles of the skirt. after the official wedding was over Lydia changed into the Dita beaded corset… An incredible combination!

"Apart from her unique eye for design and her warm heart, one of the main reasons I fell in love with Kate at Halfpenny London was the versatility of her collections. I wanted to feel like I was wearing my dress all day, because it is my wedding dress. I wanted to kiss my new husband in that dress, I wanted to hug all my amazing family in that dress and I wanted to party until 5am at our basement after party in that dress. The team and I had the best time working with Lydia at all of our appointments.
