Beautiful Miriam | A real Halfpenny London bride
Beautiful bride Miriam and her beau, Luke, were married in August last year at Longlands, Cartmel in Cumbria. Longlands is a country house with holiday cottages and the couple were married in their beautifully restored hay barn which suited their relaxed but elegant style perfectly.
When it came to her dress, Miriam wanted a gown that was elegant and simple:
“I found that a lot of dresses from other designers were too fussy for the look I wanted. Halfpenny designs have a stylish edge to them, whilst still looking sophisticated. I also found that I was between standard bridal sample sizes and plus bridal sizes, so many of the boutiques didn’t have dresses for me to try in suitable sizes, so I found it hard to gauge if the dresses would look right on me. Halfpenny sample sizes are really inclusive and that was another reason I was keen to buy from [Halfpenny London].
As soon as I saw the Daffodil dress, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for and what I had envisaged as my wedding dress. I was drawn to the off the shoulder neckline, and simplicity of the gown. I also tried the daffodil top with the ivy tasseled skirt as separates, and I was torn- but decided to opt for the dress as I thought it was more classic. It was exactly what I imagined I wanted in a wedding dress, and as soon as I saw it I said “this is exactly what I am looking for”.”
Miriam completed her look with a pair of gold Jimmy Choo sandals, a gold clam shell shaped clutch bag, Alighieri “infernal storm” earrings, and a simple bouquet of seasonal flowers and herbs.
Huge congratulations to the happy couple! We wish you all the love and luck in the world!
