Gorgeous Chloë | A real Halfpenny London bride
Beautiful bride Chloë and her new husband Ollie had planned their wedding for this May but - like many other couples - had to postpone due to the pandemic. They decided that they’d still like to get married on a small scale so went ahead with a small wedding in August.
“We’re both so happy we did. We got to have an intimate ceremony with just 20 of our closest family and friends (and Olive, the dog), and now we have a big party to look forward to next spring. I’d recommend it! [The wedding] took place at my mum and stepdad’s house, which is an old vicarage in Cambridgeshire. We got married in the church, then walked through the house to the garden for the reception. It was all very relaxed, with impromptu mini speeches, and the sun was shining.” - Chloë
Chloë had been walking past our boutique in Woburn Walk for a few years before she was engaged and was excited to peek inside when the time came.
“I came with my mum, and as soon as we walked in, we had a good feeling. I didn’t have a very fixed idea of what I wanted in a dress, which helped, I think, because it meant I was open to trying different styles. So I did, and then I narrowed it down to two – both starting with the Iris slip. One option was to pair it with the Scotty skirt and matching spot veil, which I loved, and the other was to wear the Marilyne dress over the top, with the broad sash and 72” silky tulle veil. I decided to go with the second option because I wasn’t totally sure about being strappy all day but loved the option of taking off the top layer during the evening – plus, that way, I got two dresses in one.”
Chloë looked totally stunning and happy in these pictures. Huge congratulations to the happy couple. We wish you every happiness in the world in your new lives together.
