Holly Willoughby wears Halfpenny London separates on Dancing On Ice
I’m over the moon that beautiful Holly Willoughby wore a bespoke Halfpenny London two-piece on Dancing On Ice last night. We love Holly’s style and the Halfpenny London mix of cool and romantic - “coolmantic” - is perfect for her.
The bodice is made on a stretch base with layers of silk organza on top. I added the softness of the handmade, silk organza flowers to the cups and drape sleeves to make it extra dreamy and couture like.
The flowers are actually made from the off-cuts we have left over from making the Riri skirt which she wore on the show the last time (see below). We take all the extra off-cuts and send them to my mother who is an embroider and seamstress, and she hand cuts the petals and creates each individual flower. I love the idea that the flowers on Holly’s bodice have a history, they’ve completed a beautiful cycle.
Working with Holly is a dream and I feel very humbled that we were trusted to create this beautiful outfit.
