Stunning Emma | A Halfpenny London bride

Beautiful bride Emma and her new wife, Katie, celebrated their love in July last year. They wanted an outdoor, country feel for their big day and made the most of the beautiful surroundings, enjoying an al fresco ceremony.

The pandemic had an impact on Emma’s dress search and it was sadly delayed during lockdown:

“Due to coronavirus all of my previous appointments had been cancelled as we went into January lockdown. I had a week of dress appointments with Halfpenny being my final stop. My other appointments just weren’t what I had dreamed of. The dresses were gorgeous but I wanted something different, something individual which I couldn’t find until I got to Halfpenny. I don’t tend to wear a lot of dresses, I am a tomboy at times and I felt so comfortable at Halfpenny and excited to try the dresses on, I didn’t get that feeling anywhere else!

During the January lockdown I nearly bought a dress online from other stores as I was concerned about turnaround times. At the start of the rather rushed in person dress hunt I knew that I didn’t want to settle. I had more time that I had originally thought so I wanted to get it perfect. I had seen the Cosmic dress on the website and I just loved it, I wouldn’t stop until I tried it on! The stylist then mentioned the Zu top so I put it on with the Cosmic dress. The feeling I got was exactly what I wanted, I felt amazing and I had never seen a wedding dress like it, that was what I wanted.”

Seeing these pictures was extra special for me because we launched the Out of this World collection during lockdown and it’s such a thrill to see the pieces out in the world. Emma looks absolutely amazing in her outfit and I’m so pleased her journey brought her to our store.
