Stunning Georgina | A Halfpenny London bride
After moving the date twice due to the pandemic, beautiful bride Georgina finally married her new husband this summer in a traditional wedding in central London. The venues were grand but Georgina enjoyed having a dress which was more layered and romantic in a formal setting. She chose our Harbour frill dress with a Lily skirt and veil.
“Halfpenny London was the first shop I visited. My parents live close by and it was my mum who recommended the shop. She had apparently been walking past admiring the windows for years! The staff were so friendly. I went alone for my first appointment, to get an idea of what I wanted, and the stylist talked me through all the options, what I could put together, and what would compliment my body shape.
I was never the sort of little girl who dreamed about her wedding, so I really didn’t know what sort of thing I would end up with, but when I tried on the Harbour Frill dress I fell for it at once. It’s a cliché to say that it made me feel beautiful, but it really did. It’s the sort of dress I would have looked at and said I couldn’t get away with, but when I put it on I was astonished at how my figure looked.
I did feel that alone the dress was a little sexier than I wanted for our CoE, book of common prayer ceremony, but the skirt over the top softened the silhouette without hiding it completely, and the ivory of the flowers complimented the frill across the neckline perfectly. Finally, the long veil made it indisputably bridal, and meant that I could have three distinct looks though the day.”
Georgina looked utterly incredible and we love the way her trailing bouquet. complements the flowers on the sheer Lily skirt.
Huge congratulations to the happy couple! We wish you every happiness in your new lives together.
Love,
