Beautiful Sarah | A Halfpenny London bride

Beautiful bride Sarah and her new husband celebrated their love in October last year. The couple love nothing more than entertaining their friends and family, and they wanted the wedding to have the same feel.

“We choose our venue due to its quirky laid-back feel and the exclusiveness of celebrating all weekend! We wanted to marry in a church, as this was very special to us both. It was all about the food and people having fun - no pressure.

When I first started following Kate I knew I wanted to be a Halfpenny bride. Halfpenny was the only shop I went to and I never looked back! From my first appointment I felt like I was meeting with friends and felt extremely comfortable. The team are amazing and when Covid hit they went above and beyond for me. This was our third wedding date, and they couldn’t have done any more to help.”

Sarah chose our Iris slip and Pearl top and decided there was something missing…

“I never thought I would wear a veil, but the stylist said to try one on, it just finished the look and WOW. As soon as my daughter and mum cried, I knew. As us woman are with our insecurities, I wanted something to cover my arms. The pearl top was adjusted to make it slightly longer and it is the most beautiful, detailed piece I have ever seen. As soon as I tried the Iris slip, I felt so comfortable. It has an air of understated elegance. The material just hugs in all the right places, without feeling like it was too over the top. Adding the pearl top and the veil just finished the dress to perfection. Everyone at the wedding said they had never seen anything so beautiful or like it before, which was exactly what I wanted.”

Sarah looked utterly sensational on her big day and we’re so happy she had such a great experience with us. We love her choice of pearl hair clips to match the top, and a stunning, rustic bouquet with thistle added for Sarah’s dad.
