Stunning Rosa | A real Halfpenny London bride
Beautiful bride Rosa and her beau tied the knot in December last year in an intimate family wedding. Rosa described it as being totally magical and full of love. The couple said “I do” in a family church followed by a reception at the Wilderness Reserve in Suffolk.
Rosa’s wedding dress search brought her to our Bloomsbury boutique:
“As soon as I tried on Halfpenny, I knew that this was the wedding dress designer for me! All of my appointments were completely wonderful! The stylists were so welcoming and provided so many options and advice in terms of different styles and combinations of pieces. It is such a beautiful boutique and really did feel like the dressing up box of dreams!
I chose the Mayfair skirt as I loved how fun and romantic it was. I love frills and texture and loved how the skirt floated when I moved. I tried on lots of different style dresses to wear underneath the skirt and chose the Phillip dress as I loved its clean lines and simplicity. I also loved how you could see the silhouette of the dress beneath the skirt, without taking anything away from it. I actually loved everything I tried on at Halfpenny! However the combination of the Mayfair skirt and Phillip dress really felt special to me. I loved how fun & romantic the skirt was and we all fell in love with it!
We had originally planned on having a 200 person wedding in July 2020. When I chose the dress I had planned on having two looks for the wedding, a daytime look with the Mayfair skirt over the dress, and then an evening look with the simple fitted dress & a beautiful silk bow around the waist. I didn’t end up wearing the evening look for our small wedding and decided to save this for when we can have a big celebration with all our family and friends. I absolutely cannot wait to wear the pieces again, maybe even styled differently!”
Rosa knew she wanted colourful flowers and her stunning bouquet was created by Florist Figa & Co. She accessorised her look with a long tulle veil and personal accessories borrowed from her family: her mum’s pearl necklace and her sister’s fine gold chain bracelet. In another beautiful touch, her wedding ring is her grandmother’s.
Huge congratulations to the happy couple. It’s so wonderful so see these images of Rosa looking so full of joy on her wedding day. I’m so thankful she choose Halfpenny London to be a part of her special day.
Love,
