Stunning Joanna | A Halfpenny London bride
Beautiful bride Joanna and her new hubby tied the knot in a relaxed, fun teepee wedding in Joanna’s parent’s Sussex garden. It was a glorious garden party, with Spanish tapas style sharing platters for the wedding breakfast and passionfruit margaritas. Sounds incredible!
Joanna’s search for her perfect wedding dress brought her to our London boutique.
“Halfpenny was my first choice and first appointment. Nothing was too much trouble. I didn’t feel rushed at all. I was encouraged to try on as many dresses or combinations as I liked and to not make a decision on my first appointment, which I loved. It completely took the pressure off and I was able to fully relax, so when I made the choice on my second appointment I felt absolutely sure it was the right one. I had no anxieties about my dress throughout the whole process, I knew I was in very good hands.
The Violet slip had the right amount of glamour, so I felt my very best on the day, but also considerate for a church wedding. With the modestly low back and figure shaping silk it was the perfect balance for me and when paired with the bridal flair of the Bailey skirt, I genuinely couldn’t ever have imagined a more perfect dress. As soon as I had that combination on, it felt right. It felt like a very ‘me’ outfit, so I felt incredibly relaxed. The genuine excitement from the staff when I chose ‘the one’ too was beyond lovely and brought me to tears! My veil, was just the most perfect addition of playfulness, I didn’t want to take it off and I didn’t! I wore it all day!
After two cancelled dates for our wedding in France, and changing everything for what was eventually to be our big day in England (due to Covid), the dress or worries about my dress never once even entered my mind. Halfpenny was my one constant. Even when I came to put it on at the first appointment, after having chosen it 2 years before(!!) there was genuinely no apprehension, just pure excitement and joy. At that moment I was totally reassured of what I already knew, this was my dream dress.”
It truly is messages like this which makes me think I have the best job in the world! It means so much to me to know Joanna felt amazing on her special day and I’m over the moon she found exactly what she was looking for with us at Halfpenny London.
