Lovely Julianne | A Halfpenny London bride
Beautiful bride Julianne Ellis married Ciarán Delargy in August last year. Blessed with dazzling sunshine, it was an elegant celebration in Ireland with their closest friends and family.
Julianne’s dress search was put on hold due to the pandemic so she spent the time researching her wishlist of boutiques to visit:
“I selected just a few bridal boutiques to visit and Halfpenny London was no.1 on the list and the first one I booked an appointment with! On my first visit, and after trying on the first dress, I knew I had found my dream dress!
My brother came along with me to my appointment (COVID-19 scuppered my mum and bridesmaids’ plans to travel from Ireland!). We were warmly greeted by the stylist and so well looked after by her throughout our appointment. She was the perfect mix between knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful yet never pushy! As it was my first bridal appointment ever, she put me at ease straight away and made the whole experience so fun and exciting! She was great at making suggestions and getting me to try a few different styles, so I was sure I had found the right one! I could not recommend visiting Halfpenny London more, for the beautiful, helpful and genuinely kind ladies who work there, as well as the absolutely amazing dresses of course!”
What a joy it was to have Julianne in our boutique! That very first dress - her dream dress as it happens! - was the Cedar, which she’d spotted on our social media.
“I chose the Cedar dress and silk tulle veil as I wanted my wedding style to be simple and elegant, but also quite modern. I had spotted it on the Halfpenny Instagram page and instantly liked it, and was so pleased when I tried it on and loved it even more! The minute I tried it on, I absolutely fell in love with it. It was simple and understated, but with a twist - which is exactly how I would describe my style. I felt so “me” in it!”
Julianne looked incredible on her big day. The Cedar was the perfect choice for her! She completed her look with a headband by Caragh Quinn of Aura Bridalwear, earrings by Lyndsey Cavanagh, a Felt London bangle (a lovely gift from her brothers) and her late grandmother’s sapphire ring.
Huge congratulations to the newlyweds! We all wish you a lifetime of joy and happiness.
Love,
