Stunning Charlotte | A Halfpenny London bride

Beautiful bride Charlotte married her new husband Gary in November last year. Charlotte knew she wanted to tie the knot on the beach ever since she was a bridesmaid for her auntie’s destination wedding in Barbados, so when it came time to plan her own wedding, she and Gary chose the stunning backdrop of Mauritius. 

Charlotte worked as a buyer in the fashion industry for 10 years and knew she didn’t want anything traditional when it came to her wedding outfit.

“I wanted something different and had been following Halfpenny on Instagram for a while.  After Halfpenny I visited other stores just to make sure I was seeing all options and nothing compared.  That was me heading back to Halfpenny!”

Despite thinking she wanted a slinky dress, Charlotte fell in love with our Mayfair dress with its fitted under layer and soft, floaty, silk organza overskirt.

“It was perfect! I tried it on, came out of the dressing area, stepped up onto the platform and looked in the mirror.  I turned to my sister Lana and said “I think this is…” and she said “yes me too”.  Neither of us wanted to utter the words that it was ‘the one’ but we both knew it was.  We Facetimed my Mum and I swirled around in the dress so she could see it, she loved it!”

The couple let the beautiful scenery speak for itself and kept the colour scheme simple, with ivory bridesmaid dresses and flowers, adding in a hint of emerald green in the ribbon and her shoes. Gary also wore a sage green suit.
