Stunning Hannah | A Halfpenny London bride
Gorgeous couple Hannah and Tom Howgate celebrated their marriage at Great Fosters in Egham, Surrey, last November. The couple wanted a romantic theme and filled the venue with candles and fairy lights.
“We wanted to make the day as personal as possible,” Hannah said. “My sister performed the ceremony, my bridesmaid Amy drew all the pictures for the tables and we had a personalised poem written for every guest as a place setting.”
Hannah had followed us on social media for years so, when she got engaged, she made sure an appointment in our London boutique was her first stop.
“I had been looking at the dresses for so long online that I wanted to try a number of them on! The consultants were great and helped me narrow it down to the Lucas Dress and Oliver Corset with the Riri Skirt by talking me through what I pictured myself in and what styles I would usually wear. I left the appointment undecided between the two. Whichever dress I was in I was still thinking of the other so in the end I walked away with them both, and managed to keep my second dress a secret until the evening!
The Lucas dress was just 'me' the cut, the shape, the style and made even better with the glittering stars all over it - I love anything celestial. The Riri is not something I would usually go for but I had fallen in love with her and she made the party part of the day even bigger!”
Hannah looked stunning in both outfits, it’s no wonder she couldn’t choose! I love that she got the best of both worlds and surprised her guests with an outfit transformation halfway through the day.
Hannah completed her look with antique jewellery, including a sapphire and diamond pendant gifted from her groom on the day, and celestial hair accessories by Tilly Thomas Lux. The flowers were by Jasper and Quinn, using flowers all sourced from the UK (something that was important to her), which were then donated to a care home the day after the wedding.
This is such a beautiful wedding and I’m always so humbled when a bride chooses to wear one Halfpenny London dress, let alone two! Huge congratuations to the happy couple! Sending you all the love and luck in the world for your new adventures.
Love,
Kate & the Halfpennys xxx
