Stunning Mandy | A Halfpenny London bride
Beautiful bride Mandy and her new husband Tom said “I do” in a stunning Tuscan ceremony this spring. The celebration took place in an old villa on top of a hill and surrounded by trees.
“We had string bulbs and fairy lights wrapped around tree trunks and lots of bright, seasonal wildflowers,” Mandy said. “There were aperol spritz’s and jazz by day, which descended into an espresso martini and bongo-fuelled 90s dance party!
I initially had 6 months to plan my wedding so had to choose my dress quickly within a week whilst my mum was visiting from New Zealand (ironically, the wedding was then postponed for 2 years due to Covid). I’d booked a few appointments over a couple of days at various stores around London and was on a mission to find ‘the one’ by the end of it. I was at a loss until my final booked appointment at Halfpenny.
As soon as I stepped through the door I knew I was going to buy a Halfpenny dress. The choice and quality of the fabrics was different to anywhere else I’d been. I honestly couldn’t rifle through the railings quick enough! The hard part was narrowing down on a look and actually making a decision. The stylist was really friendly and helpful, we were given a glass of Prosecco and the whole experience felt really special.”
Mandy was such a joy and the team worked with her to build her dream look from our collection of dresses and separates, eventually settling on the Iris slip and Mayfair skirt.
“I was obsessed with the silk organza ruffles on the Mayfair skirt as soon as I saw it and I liked the relaxed feel and versatility of the Iris slip. I loved the idea of changing my look up for the evening without having to buy a whole new dress and the Issa shrug brought drama, romanticism and above all, comfort for bouncing the night away with me. Controversially, I showed some friends pictures of it before the big day and they all said ‘that’s so you’ - if that’s not enough clarity that it’s my dream dress I don’t know what is!”
Mandy completed her look with nude Valentino sandals, Alex Monroe earrings and a vintage gold and pearl bracelet. She looked incredible and, of course, I adore the outfit change halfway through the day!
Huge congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing them a long and love-loaded marriage!
Love,
