Beautiful Kim | A Halfpenny London bride
Gorgeous couple Kim and Matt Vose tied the knot last September in the Lake District (their favourite place) at the start of autumn (their favourite season).
“Opting not to have the best men and Groom in matching suits and bridesmaids in different colours, we joked that our theme was relaxed and mismatched and we think it worked really well,” Kim said. “Our good friend read a John Cooper Clarke poem in the church followed by a song from our brother in law, then back to the barn to showcase our love of the lakes to our favourite people! We just wanted people to feel love and joy throughout the day.”
Kim had been following us on Instagram for a while and had researched our stockists page to find her nearest place to try, going on to find the beautiful Cheryl dress at Elisa Belle Bridal.
“This was actually the first Halfpenny London dress I ever tried on, and to be honest from there, nothing else ever compared. I tried on around 15 more dresses and just couldn’t wait to get back in that dress. Everything, from how the silk felt to how it shimmered in the light, to the dramatic bow at the back. It was all just perfect and I got that feeling every time I put it on from that very first try.
Although I’d been looking online at dresses, I went in to the trying on experience without actually having anything in mind. I wasn’t sure what would suit me, I wanted something a little different but that still had a traditional element to it. So, when I tried on The Cheryl dress it just made perfect sense. It was exactly what I’d been looking for without really knowing it. The bow at the back completely made the dress for me too. So simple an elegant but such a statement at the same time.”
The Cheryl was such a perfect choice. She looked incredible!
Huge congratulations to Kim and Matt. We wish you every happiness in your new lives together.
Love,
Kate & the Halfpennys xxx
