“For the longest time I knew I wanted to wear the Rihanna Skirt and Gordon top. I saw it on Pinterest years ago (before I met my now husband) and thought to myself, when I get married I want to wear that dress.”
Newlyweds Lauren and Kevin tied the knot in a modern, black tie wedding in October 2023 planned to perfection by Alexis Eliopoulous O’Mara at the State Room in Boston.
“For the longest time I knew I wanted to wear the Rihanna Skirt and Gordon top.” Lauren said, “I saw it on Pinterest years ago (before I met my now husband) and thought to myself, when I get married I want to wear that dress.”
With her heart set on a Halfpenny London look, Lauren flew out to LA and visited our wonderful stockist, En Blanc. After trying on the Rihanna skirt and Gordon top, Lauren instantly knew this look was the one!
“I knew I wanted a simple, elegant look that was also fun without being over the top.”
“Everyone at En Blanc was wonderful to work with! Their store was amazing and had so many gorgeous dresses. However, I was in and out pretty quickly because as soon as I tried on the Gordon top and Rihanna skirt, I knew I found my dress!
My style is pretty simple and elegant. I knew I wanted a simple, elegant look that was also fun without being over the top. I don’t like lace, beads, etc. and I loved how the top is simple and comfortable while the skirt is fun but not over the top. Both pieces together matched my style as well as the overall vibe of our wedding.”
Choosing delicate earrings, neutral florals and a sleek ponytail, Lauren achieved a modern and timeless style which showcased the drama of the Rihanna skirt.
