Beautiful Natalie | A Halfpenny London bride
Beautiful bride Natalie and her new husband Phil celebrated their love in August this year with a “French chic”, timeless celebration with a modern twist. The couple chose an all white colour scheme with accents of champagne, neutral and black tones to create a romantic vibe for their big day.
When it came to her wedding dress search, Natalie had her eye on our Riri skirt…
“I was visiting one of my bridesmaids in London,” Natalie said, “and we visited the Woburn Walk boutique to try on the RiRi skirt as that had been my vision since 2017/2018, well before Phil proposed! I tried it on but the shape wasn’t quite right for me and so the stylist showed me the Ruffle Rose skirt and it was instant love!!!
My appointment at the Woburn Walk boutique was so exciting. I had literally been waiting to try on Halfpenny dresses since we got engaged (and before!!). The stylist was incredibly welcoming, particularly given that I had called ahead to ensure that she has sizes that would fit me due to being around a 18 at the time of trying. She was so reassuring and really helped me to find a gorgeous outfit that would compliment my body shape and make me feel comfortable.”
Unfortunately, Covid was still causing lots of disruption at the time and Natalie is based in Manchester so travel was tricky. Luckily we have an incredible stockist in Manchester, The White Closet, so Natalie could easily continue her wedding journey closer to home. The Ruffle Rose skirt is actually a piece which was created exclusively for The White Closet and our flagship store so it was clearly meant to be!
“My appointment at The White Closet was equally enjoyable. Having already tried on the Ruffle Rose Skirt (and The White Closet being the exclusive stockiest) they had her all ready for me to try as well as lots of gorgeous slips, dresses and tops for me to try with it. I went around in circles for a while (I would have had 5 dresses if I could have!) eventually landing on a bespoke, structured Gordon Top to go with the Ruffle Rose Skirt. The Halfpenny Team and The White Closet team worked so closely together and provided all of the emotional and practical support that I needed!
I would always go for a fitted long-sleeved top and an A-line skirt if I was dressing up as I find this to compliment my body shape and make me feel pulled in at the waist, but also comfortable, so, I knew that this was the shape/style I wanted to go for for my wedding day. It’s also a classic silhouette and I knew that it would fit with our genuine theme. The skirt is also very couture/high fashion which was a real dream of mine!”
Natalie finished her look with classic accessories like a pair of pearl Chanel earrings, silver tiffany bracelet (both 30th birthday gifts), and a Dior bracelet which was a gift from Phil on the day, among other pieces. She looked totally stunning and I loved working so closely with the wonderful team at The White Closet to make her dress dreams come true!
