“From the moment we stepped into the store, (it was my first ever appointment), it was easy and magical. The pieces I wore are the first ones I ever tried - I felt comfortable, regal and truly ‘once in a lifetime’ moment kind of dress.”
Beautiful bride Rosa married her new husband Jonas in September 2023. Rosa was born in Seoul then later moved to London, and was keen to reflect her two cultures throughout the day. The wedding took place in a picturesque Korean setting, filled with soft florals and lighting, and the choice of a British designer like Halfpenny London, who make all of our bridalwear in London, meant that Rosa had a special piece of the city with her on her big day.
“My husband is Swedish,” Rosa said, “so we held an engagement party summer of 2022. So, for the wedding, I wanted the European/ British elements to come out in a Korean setting.”
With an upcoming visit to London planned, Rosa booked her appointment at our Bloomsbury boutique. Unsure on what styles would suit her, Rosa came with an open mind.
“Like most brides, I had been following many different designers over the course of few years - Halfpenny popped up, and so over one weekend of me visiting home, I had booked an appointment. I had no idea what I wanted, so I wanted to try different variations - I had looked online to see what types took my fancy, but really going without knowing what would suit me, especially given that my hair is short.”
“I wanted a big skirt with a long train, if only so that I would have the chance to wear that style at least once in my life.”

Rosa fell in love with the meters of duchess satin from the dramatic Dove skirt and paired it with the Dove corset. Truly the perfect choice for the ceremony. She had a second look in mind for the reception and loved how confident and comfortable she felt in our beautiful Cheryl split dress, choosing to elevate the look even more by adding the Bay skirt.
With a love for statement jewellery, Rosa had a clear vision for her accessories, complimenting her bridal look with two pearl necklaces and a contrasting set of delicate pearl earrings with diamond accents.
