Newlyweds Alice and Phil tied the knot last August in a contemporary countryside venue, enjoying the breathtaking views of Ebberston Hall, and photographer Victoria Baker was there to capture every moment of the celebration.
Alice wanted to feel like her best self on her wedding day. The search for her dream dress led her to our London flagship store where she fell in love with our collection and had so much fun exploring her bridal style.
“I knew I’d find ‘the dress’ at Halfpenny as soon as I stood outside and looked at the windows displays,” Alice said. “I loved the modern silhouettes blended with dramatic details, and the quality of every garment was clear. The team initially showed me a huge range of styles, whilst also being mindful of my budget constraints, which helped steer me to a particular silhouette (not one I had envisaged choosing, incidentally!) The Halfpenny shop is a luxury environment, but you still feel at ease. We drank tea and my Mum and sister sunk into the comfy sofas; it was a special experience.”
“I knew I wanted something extra to add a touch of drama, something versatile that could be adjusted throughout the day. Halfpenny was by far the bridal shop with the most choice on this front, and I ended up choosing the Blaze shrug as it doubled-up as a veil and I loved how it scooped at the back. The Halfpenny team kindly made the train removable so that I could take it off for the evening, perfect for our first dance onwards.
Comfort was a big consideration for me, and the Oliver felt elegant but not restrictive. I knew I’d be able to wear the dress from day to night without feeling constrained. As soon as I put it on, a big grin came over my face as it just felt like ‘me’. I remember my Mum saying ‘that’s the one’, there may have even been a few tears shed!”
With the Blaze shrug taking the centre-stage, Alice accessorised with simple gold jewellery and a pair of olive green mules and florist Stems Design created a beautiful bouquet.
Huge congratulations to the happy couple! We all wish you every happiness in your new adventures together and we’re thrilled we were able to play a part in your special day.
Love,
Kate & the Halfpennys xxx
