Gorgeous Harriet | A Halfpenny London Bride
Today, we’re celebrating the beautiful wedding of Dr Harriet Nuttall and Mr Robert Bogie who tied the knot this June. Their guests were delighted with an English country garden wedding, with afternoon tea, croquet, and laser clay pigeon shooting.
When it came to finding her wedding dress, Harriet knew she needed to visit our Bloomsbury boutique.
“I came straight to Halfpenny London, knowing that there I would find a variety of stylish, modern pieces that would make me feel like the very best of myself,” Harriet said. “I came prepared with a list of styles to try on, and based on that my stylist made some lovely suggestions, but in the end it was only one dress that made me swoosh and twirl and bob up and down. The Bluebell dress – the incredible embroidered tulle of this dress is so full of joy and lightness it made me feel the same. The style references mid-century vintage while feeling like a brand new interpretation of the classic. I also chose the organza bow coat – another mid-century reference which felt very youthful and summery to me.”
Harriet had never imagined that she’d wear a veil and but choosing the Bow coat gave her that feeling she wanted, her own individual expression of the veil concept. I love that we were able to give Harriet the feeling she was looking for within her own style.
“I’m not sure I have ever had a dream wedding dress, I just wanted to feel beautiful and strong and joyful, and that is what my outfit gave me straight away.”
Those words make my heart sing! I’m thrilled Harriet came to see us and found her dream wedding dress in our boutique. Wishing her and Robert all the love in the world and a joyous marriage!
Love,
