Lovely Lisa | A Halfpenny London Bride

Gorgeous couple Lisa and Olly said “I do”, choosing to celebrate with a Tuscan destination wedding last September. They both love Italy, so decided to get married in a vineyard with incredible views of the countryside.

Lisa’s search for her dream wedding dress was much easier than she expected…!

“I chose my dress during my first appointment at The White Closet in Didsbury,” she said. “It was actually the first dress I tried on! I had no idea what style of dress I wanted at this stage. The team at The White Closet were amazing and talked me through the different ranges. As soon as we started looking at the Halfpenny dresses I felt drawn to them. I tried the Cheryl dress on first and was in love with everything about it – it felt glamorous but also modern and stylish.

As it was the first wedding dress I had ever tried on, I assumed I would feel this excited about all of them! However after trying on about 6-7 other dresses I realised the Cheryl dress was ‘the one’. I felt amazing in it and also so comfortable. Some of the more structured dresses made me feel like I was playing dress up, but this silky style just felt like me. It felt like the perfect choice for an Italian wedding too. When I found out it was Italian silk I knew it was meant to be!”

Lisa looked incredible in our iconic Cheryl with its high halter neck and beautiful long ties, which she’s tied around her waist. Paired with gold Gucci heels, pearl drop earrings, and a full length veil, it was truly the perfect look for Lisa.
