Lovely Saffron | A Halfpenny London Bride
Our beautiful bride Saffron Peacock and her new hubby Joe tied the knot in a gorgeous destination wedding in Cyprus last October. Being part Cypriot, and having a second home on the island, Saffron has many happy memories there. It also became a very special place for Joe who fell in love with the island after visiting with Saffron for many years so the couple chose to celebrate with a relaxed, Mediterranean sunset wedding by the sea.
“We wanted a blend of both cultures and to share our favourite place with our favourite people,” Saffron said. “We had personal touches like fresh lemons from our garden that my husband Joe picked in the morning to decorate the tables. The day consisted of flowing drinks and food, lots of fun, laughter, guests jumping in the sea and greek dancing! We knew it always had to be there and I wanted a dress that would work with the setting, but still felt like me.”
Saffron knew exactly where she wanted to go and came to visit us searching for her perfect wedding dress.
“As soon as I got engaged knew I had to go to the Halfpenny Flagship Boutique on Woburn Walk. I work in fashion and have always had huge appreciation of everything Halfpenny creates, and the experience did not disappoint! The beautiful boutique and service was just above any other stores I visited. The boutique is so dreamy and it was so fun to try on all the separates. I knew I wanted something, classic, sleek, glamorous, but also a little different. I wasn’t really a veil girl, and I completely fell in love with the romantic ruffles of the Blaze Shrug. I paired this with the Dayton, one of the first styles I tried on, and fell in love with the way it felt. I loved duchess satin and thought it would glow perfectly in the golden hour sun. I also ended up choosing the Issa shrug to change into for the reception. The teams at both boutiques are such a testament to the Halfpenny brand, they were so helpful, sweet and complimentary from start to finish, and made the experience so special. I was over the moon to wear such a beautiful London brand.”
It’s so wonderful to hear that Saffron loved her experience with us and I’m thrilled she found her dream dress in our boutique. We wish the happy couple countless years of bliss together. Huge congratulations!
