Our new stockist needs no introduction. For more than 70 years, thousands of brides have traveled to Kleinfeld Bridal in New York City to find their wedding day looks, enjoying an immersive experience in their 30,000 square feet boutique filled with the largest selection of wedding dresses in the world. Their over 200 strong team of dedicated staff have helped countless brides find their dream wedding dress and we’re over the moon to have a gorgeous edit of Halfpenny London gowns now available within their iconic store.
We caught up with Kleinfeld’s Director of Sales and Merchandising for the past 33 years, the incredible Dorothy Silver, to find out more about her wonderful store and which Halfpenny London styles she loves the most.
Dorothy, how did you get into the bridal business?
“The original owners of Kleinfeld Hedda and Jack Schachter hired me in 1990 to manage there Mother of the Bride department. When Mara Urshel and Ronnie Rothstein bought the business, they put me in bridal and I've loved it ever since.”
Describe Kleinfeld in one word:
“Breathtaking.”
What can brides to be expect when visiting the store?
“To have the ultimate customer service experience with the most experienced stylists in the country and see all different designers and styles.”
Tell us what you love about your city?
“It’s New York!!! where else can you find anything and everything!”
Why do you love Halfpenny London?
“You provide an elevated cool girl vibe with your fabrics and styles. We just knew we had to have them in our store when we saw them.”
Which is your favourite piece from the Halfpenny London collection and why?
“Your slinky, silky halter gown with the cape. It’s literally simplicity at its finest with a touch of drama.”
If you could use one word to describe Halfpenny London, what would it be?
“Chic.”
