Stunning bride Lucia married her new husband George last November in a modern London wedding which blended their Spanish and British heritage. We love these images from Nigel John which capture the joyful day.

After getting engaged, Lucia was excited to begin the search for her dream wedding dress. With a clear vision of what she was looking for she made her way to our London flagship boutique.

“I came to visit Halfpenny with little idea or notion of the brand,” said Lucia. “One of the first things I liked was the fact that the dresses are made in London, and I liked the idea of it being as local as possible. As soon as stepping into Halfpenny I felt like I was entering into a very special place, and I could feel Niamh was someone I could trust, very calm, honest and always bringing really good and reassuring vibes.”

“I came in with an idea of the dress I wanted: sleek, city vibe, seductive, modern bride. We tried about 5 or 6 dresses, varying from skirts, to corsets, to long ones, but the Cheryl specifically stood out from the fabric and how it felt against my body. It was insanely beautiful and I felt incredibly good in it from the first look in the mirror. Niamh suggested to pair it with some gloves, and suddenly I could see my wedding outfit unfolding in front of me!

It was the way it made me feel: powerful, sexy, sleek, seductive, confident. It’s such a magical dress and the fabric is just like water against your skin. I could move so freely and feel incredibly elegant in it. I just wanted to wear it for ever! What also helped me decide for it was the fact that you can tie the straps around the waist, practically turning it into a fun and exciting new modification, which was perfect for the dinner and the party. So many people and guests have mentioned since it was the most beautiful bride dress they’ve ever seen!”

After completing her look with a pair of elegant lace gloves for the ceremony, Lucia decided to change into a pearl pair for the party. She added an edge to her look with statement earrings from East London designer Ruby Jack.
