Stunning Lucy | A Halfpenny London Bride
“I knew it was my dream dress when I felt like the best, most elevated version of myself in it.”
Stunning bride Lucy and new husband, Ross, brought their friends and family together last autumn for their Cotswolds wedding. They held their ceremony and reception on the beautiful, historical grounds of Elmore Court, when the leaves had started to change colour. Each detail — from their handmade stationary and the bridesmaids’ dresses to the bride’s bouquet — blended in perfectly with the autumnal scenery.
Our flagship boutique in Bloomsbury was the first place Lucy visited when she started her wedding dress search. Lucy’s eye fell upon our Charlotte dress, a Halfpenny London icon with a stunning draped bodice and a train effortlessly floating off the hips.
“I wish I could do the process all over again!” Lucy said. “I was made to feel so comfortable and the whole experience was lovely. The Halfpenny dresses are just so elegant and romantic and I couldn’t stop thinking about my dress.”
“I couldn’t stop thinking about my dress. I wish I could do the process all over again!”
“I knew it was my dream dress when I felt like the best, most elevated version of myself in it. It felt like the most elegant and romantic of them all, when I tried it for the second time I knew that it was perfect for the venue and theme, and it felt like my dress.”
On my own wedding day, I wore the same type of corset, so seeing our Halfpenny London brides in the Charlotte dress always feels extra special. The ties on the Charlotte dress can be styled in different ways, allowing the bride to create a look that truly feels like her. Lucy chose to tie hers at the back to create a romantic, off-the-shoulder look. She looked marvellous.
Reflecting on her wedding day, Lucy shares her most memorable moment and advice for future brides:
“Don’t worry about the small things, you don’t notice that on the day and try to take a step back and have a look at your wedding with your partner. The whole day goes so so quickly. It was perfect but my most memorable moment was walking down the aisle with my dad, feeling very emotional but instantly reassured when I saw my husband.”
We’re so happy Lucy found her dream gown at Halfpenny London, she looks utterly beautiful! We wish the newlyweds all the love in the world.
Love,
