Stunning Lydia | A Halfpenny London bride
Gorgeous couple Lydia and James celebrated their love in July this year with a relaxed, elegant, English countryside wedding. Being a wedding photographer herself, Lydia was no doubt well aware of all the dress options available to her so I’m honoured that she chose to wear Halfpenny London on her big day.
“I’m a wedding photographer and have always loved Halfpenny dresses so I had only visited one other shop before going to [Halfpenny London stockist] The White Closet,” Lydia said. “As soon as I saw the Halfpenny collection, I knew I’d found ‘the one’. I was leaning towards the Victor matte slip with the Beale overskirt to add some extra texture and more of a train, but then decided to have a bespoke veil made [by Rebecca Anne Designs], so went with the Victor dress on its own. I do love all of the combinations you’re able to create with the Halfpenny collection. So many beautiful overskirts and sleeves to fit all sorts of styles!
I knew it was the one because the dress was just so perfect on its own, simple, yet so classic and elegant. I knew I wanted a fitted silhouette. Up until that point, when I was trying on dresses I just wasn’t getting that ‘WOW’ factor. As soon as I tried on the Victor dress I didn’t want to take it off, and my Mum and bridesmaids had a little cry.”
Lydia looked incredible and I’m thrilled she chose to wear Halfpenny London on her big day. Sending so much love and a huge congratulations to the happy couple. Wishing you a long and blissfully happy marriage.
Love,
