Take a breath
I'm writing this on the cusp of my 48th birthday, what an honour and privilege in every year. I’ve been thinking back to the years that came before, and looking ahead to those on their way. Time can pass so fast. I see that as I watch my son get taller and more grown up every day. I'm reminding myself to pause, look around and take a breath, really fill my lungs with fresh air. Savour the unique scent of our beautiful boutique, drink in the sweetness of the spring flower on my desk, inhale a waft of my son's delicious smell, and revel in the earthy scent of my garden, made more potent after a shower of rain.
A wedding is a huge milestone and many of you will be looking forward to your big day this year so I just wanted to remind you to also take some time to appreciate the small adventures on your journey as well as the momentous. There is so much joy and love to be found in those deep breaths, so make sure you take them at every opportunity and appreciate everything. Sometimes plans change but the unexpected might be the magic you didn’t know you were missing.
Love,
Kate x
