Stunning Fiona | A real Halfpenny London Bride

Lovely bride Fiona was married in Tuscany in May this year and her Italian rustic chic wedding was effortlessly gorgeous.

Having "dreaded" wedding dress shopping, a stylist recommended us to Fiona and we're so glad she did!

"I went to 3 other shops which were all lovely but I just felt the dresses weren't quite right.  A stylist I worked with recommended Halfpenny and I think I was subconsciously holding out until my appointment as she'd spoken so highly of the collection.  I walked in a decided I'd buy my dress from Halfpenny before I even tried one on. I loved the fabrics and the shop straight away. I knew I'd find something."

The bustier of Fiona's Esme dress was customised to suit her personal style as she knew she wanted to wear flowers in her hair and wanted the contrast with the simpler top.  We love how it turned out!

"I didn't want the over all look to be too busy. I also think that even though you want a beautiful dress, you want people to say 'doesn't she look lovely' not 'isn't the dress lovely'. I think anything too decorative can be distracting. I loved the fabric of the skirt, I'd never seen anything like it before. It was so light to wear and suited the Italian whimsical feel of the wedding." 

An Amanda Wakeley veil, Jimmy Choo shoes, vintage diamond and pearl earnings from Greys Antiques and her mother in law's stunning sapphire ring completed the look.
