Beautiful Victoria | A real Halfpenny London bride
Beautiful bride Victoria married her new husband James in June this year at MC Motors in Dalston. MC Motors is very urban and non-traditional so it was important for the couple to contrast this with splashes of whimsical colour and prettiness. They wanted the wedding to feel like a wonderful, summery party in the middle of the city.
Nothing in particular had jumped out at Victoria during her search before she came to Halfpenny but she came in and fell in love with the first outfit she tried on!
“Nothing had felt particularly ‘me’ or special about anything I had tried on before. Everything was too traditional or too sexy or too uncomfortable. I had started considering not wearing a wedding dress. My experience at Halfpenny was glorious! The team got the brief right away (romantic, quirky!) and I fell in love instantly. They treated me and my three guests like royalty, and were so lovely to my mum in particular.
Susie was the first one I tried on! I chose it because it felt like it was made for me, sentiments echoed by so many guests at the wedding! It was so comfortable and whimsical and romantic, exactly the vibe I was going for. It moved so well and felt perfect for a non-traditional, relaxed London wedding.”
The couple worked with the Flower Appreciation Society who picked seasonal, British flowers to create a pretty and summery vibe in their urban venue, creating a wonderful contrast. Victoria’s earrings were her ‘something borrowed’ and her headband from M de Paulet completed her wonderful look.
Congratulations to Victoria and James! We wish you every happiness in your new adventures together!
Love,
