Beautiful Marianne | A real Halfpenny London bride

I don’t know about you but I’m so grateful for today’s sunshine! My family had planned a little trip next weekend but understandably we’ve had to postpone it so, instead, I’m going to share this beautiful, sun-drenched wedding to lift our spirits.

Beautiful bride Marianne and her lovely hubby tied the knot in May last year in Santorini. The couple wanted to keep an element of English elegance in their big day so they created a relaxed, vintage feel with a classic colour palette of white, ivory, blush pink and touches of gold.

Marianne chose our Iris Rose dress worn over an Iris slip for the ceremony, then swapped out the lace dress for the Berry jacket for the reception back in the UK.

“I found wedding dress shopping the most daunting experience of the whole wedding; there are more designers, styles and silhouettes than I ever imagined and I began to wonder if I’d ever find a dress to suite my personal style. However, once I found the Halfpenny Boutique in London I instantly fell in love with so many of her designs as they made me feel like me. They have such a unique vintage feel to them and they can be worn in so many different ways. I still wanted to try on every dress I could to get the full experience of wedding dress shopping, but after trying on what felt like hundreds of dresses, I ended up back at Halfpenny with the dress I fell in love with at the start.

I had a wonderful experience at Halfpenny London and everyone made me feel very welcome and relaxed. My first appointment was so special and I honestly could have spent the whole day trying on different variations of the dresses and couldn’t wait for my second appointment. I took my mum with me to every appointment and from meeting the Halfpennys to the day I collected my dress, I loved every second.

I chose the Iris Rose dress as I instantly fell in love with the delicate full-length lace and beautiful shaped train of French Levers lace. I also wanted something that was comfortable and would just fall off my frame. The dress has a gorgeous rose print that reminded me of my grandmother ‘Rose’. As soon as I stepped out in my dress I knew it was the one. Not only by the look on my mums face but by the way I felt in it. It was everything I have ever dreamed of, beautiful, simple, lace, vintage, sleek and above all I felt like me.”

Marianne kept her accessories simple and classic with a single diamond pendant necklace from Tiffany & Co, Astrid & Miyu earrings and her grandmother’s gold wedding ring so she could be there in on Marianne’s special day.

These gorgeous images are giving me serious wanderlust right now! Thank you so much to Marianne for sharing the with us and I’m so pleased we could play a part in her big day. Congratulations to the happy couple!
