Lovely Claire | A real Halfpenny London bride
Beautiful bride Claire married her beau in April last year. The couple enjoyed a relaxed wedding with a rustic, country theme. Claire looked totally fabulous in our Swan skirt, Breeze corset and bespoke Laura top and her choice of outfit suited the woodland surroundings perfectly.
“I found the whole experience of finding a wedding dress very stressful. Although I am usually very decisive when it comes to fashion, I really struggled to have a clear idea of what I wanted in a wedding dress. I felt that a lot of the dresses out there were very similar styles and although they were beautiful dresses I never quite felt that they were for me. Before I visited Halfpenny I had tried on so many dresses that I had become almost disheartened about the whole process.
My first appointment at Halfpenny was totally different to any other bridal appointment I had before. Usually you are asked to walk around the bridal shop and pick your favourite dresses to try on. Whereas in Halfpenny I showed the stylist some ideas I had on my phone and pictures of Halfpenny pieces I liked. She then picked a number of pieces for me to try on, including a lot of separates which meant I could mix and match, I really loved this as I got to see how dresses, skirts and tops could be completely transformed. She left the look she thought I would like best until last, and she was right as this was the look I went for.
I chose the Laura top and had some alterations done to it to make it more fitted and I made some changes to the back. I also chose the Swan skirt, this really blew me away, I had seen in online but it was so much more beautiful in real life, I never wanted to take it off. Finally I went with the Breeze corset to change into for the evening part of the wedding. I loved the idea of having two looks for the day, and by adding the Breeze corset I got my wish. When I tried on this combination of top and skirt I really felt amazing. It was by far the nicest piece I had tried on. It also ticked all of the boxes in what I was looking for, for my wedding look. What I loved most though was that it was a look I had never seen before, as I said, up to this point I felt so many of the dresses I tried on were very similar or I had seen a similar look on a bride previously. This was totally unique and I loved every inch of it.”
I’m completely in love with Claire’s gorgeous bouquet which was assembled by her wedding planner, Tee at Pairs and Peaches. The colours are so pretty and look completely at home in the setting.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these lovely images by Katie Farrell. Thank you so much to Claire for sharing them with us and we wish the newlyweds every happiness in their new lives together.
Love,
