Gorgeous Emma | A Halfpenny London bride
Beautiful bride Emma and her new husband, Depesh, said “I do” in August this year. Their wedding had a traditional, romantic, British feel, with their manor house venue packed with vintage pink roses and peonies. Prosecco flowed as a musical quartet entertained their guests on arrival and the entertainment continued into the afternoon with rounds of crazy golf!
Emma’s dress search brought her to Halfpenny London and we couldn’t wait to help her find THE ONE!
“The minute I walked into the Halfpenny Boutique I was not only blown away by the stunning dresses on display and the unique style of the boutique itself but I was made to feel like I was the most special bride and immediately felt at ease. Halfpenny was the first shop that I didn’t have to choose from a small selection of plus size dresses – I was made to feel that absolutely any dress would be suitable for me.”
I’m thrilled Emma had a great experience in our boutique and I wish this was the norm everywhere. We have samples from a UK6 up to a size 22 and can extend sizes either side of that range for our brides. I’m very proud to be able to dress every bride who comes to see us and help them feel amazing! Like the very best version of themselves.
“One of my favourite aspects of Halfpenny is the ability to customise any look – being able to mix and match an abundance of top/skirts/overlays is such a unique and brilliant idea. I spent hours looking through Halfpenny’s online collection and I was able to send over my top choices to the lovely team prior to my appointment so they would be ready for me to try. Although I was pretty certain on the style I wanted, I still tried on a few other pieces just to make sure I wasn’t discounting something that would be perfect. However, as soon as we paired the Ellie skirt with the Harbour frill I knew this was the one (and my Mum’s face said it all!).
I have always suited an off the shoulder style so I felt very comfortable. I knew this dress would suit the grand feeling of our venue and really tie everything together. I knew this was my dress because immediately felt like I had put on the one that everyone would adore and that I knew I would feel special in. I originally didn’t want such a large skirt but I knew that this dress was going to have such an impact and on the day it really did!”
Emma looked incredible on her big day and seeing these pictures is such a treat! She finished off her outfit with her favourite accessory: a headpiece which was remade from a flower crown which her mum wore on her wedding day. Such a gorgeous touch!
Huge congratulations to Emma and Depesh! We wish you so much happiness in your new lives together.
Love,
