Beautiful Ashleigh | A Halfpenny London bride

Beautiful bride Ashleigh married her beau, Roger, in October last year. The couple chose a relaxed vibe for their wedding, with plenty of Prosecco, street-style food, and dancing under a canopy of festoon lights.

Ashleigh visited our Bloomsbury boutique during her search for the perfect wedding dress and I’m thrilled she came to see us.

“It was an easy-going atmosphere [during my appointment at Halfpenny London] and I felt comfortable in my own skin. I knew I didn’t want something “run-of-the-mill”, so I picked a few pieces and the Halfpenny ladies threw some into the mix.

I chose the Ivy skirt and Toby top. I loved the movement of the skirt’s fringing. It’s such a fun piece – and I could envisage it with my leather jacket. As soon as I spotted the Toby top and tried it on with the skirt, I knew it was a hit. The shape worked with my figure and I liked the idea of sleeves for autumn.

I wanted my wedding outfit to be an extension of my personality and I could just imagine those closest to me saying “this is so you, Ash” – and they did!”

The Ivy skirt is such a favourite piece of mine and Ashleigh looks incredible in it! I always design with the idea my pieces can be mixed and matched to create a bride’s perfect outfit and pairing the Ivy with the Toby top looks amazing. Ashleigh completed her outfit with a pair of Dior trainers and a celestial inspired headpiece and earrings from Tilly Thomas Lux, in a nod to her love of the sun, moon and stars.
