From the moment I saw myself in the Dove dress, I knew it was the one. I have never felt more beautiful.

Beautiful bride Georgiana married her husband Max, bringing their friends and family together for an English countryside wedding with a modern twist. Georgiana dreamed of a classic church ceremony honouring traditional elements, but wanted her special day to feel light-hearted and fun, too. An exclusive country estate surrounded by natural beauty was the perfect backdrop, blending timeless elegance with a relaxed atmosphere.

Before she started her wedding dress search, Georgiana wasn’t exactly sure what she envisioned, but upon her visit to our wonderful stockist Ghost Orchid, she fell in love with our Dove corset and skirt.

“As I browsed the beautifully displayed dresses, the Dove dress immediately caught my eye due to its exceptional quality and stunning colour,” Georgiana said. “I fell in love with how the fabric elegantly draped over the top of my arms.”

The Dove dress immediately caught my eye due to its exceptional quality and stunning color. I fell in love with how the fabric elegantly draped over the top of my arms. The fit, the fabric, the colour, and the way the dress sculpted my figure were simply incredible.

“It has a timeless beauty that truly captivated me with its classic design. What made it even more special was the thigh split, which effortlessly transformed the look from church-appropriate to sassy, adding a playful twist to the timeless design. It also had pockets! From the moment I saw myself in it, I knew it was the one. I have never felt more beautiful—though I know everyone says that, it’s genuinely true. The fit, the fabric, the colour, and the way the dress sculpted my figure were simply incredible. It had a Roman/Grecian elegance to it, draping beautifully with every movement.”

Georgiana completed her look with a simple veil secured with a delicate hair comb, and a pair of Tiffany pearl earrings, a gift from her parents. Her Gucci sunglasses allowed her to fully enjoy the sun-drenched day. For her floral decor, she worked with florist Walter and Blossom, who created a magnificent flower arch and table displays.

After the wedding, we caught up with Georgiana to ask if she had any advice to future brides:

“Bury a sausage! Tradition says, burying a sausage in the grounds of the wedding venue the night before is believed to ensure good weather. I went a little wild with this and planted not just one, but three sausages. The evening before the wedding, my bridal party and I buried three different types: one Yorkshire, one Spanish and one Italian sausage. I wanted to cover all the bases from the regions known for their great weather! The weather on the day was glorious!

Georgiana looked stunning in the Dove dress! We’re so glad that she found her dream dress at our wonderful stockist, and it’s a pleasure to play a small part in the couple’s special day.

Love,

Kate & the Halfpennys xxx
