Halfpenny London separates for an elegant, laid-back wedding in the Cotswolds.

Newlyweds Lily and John tied the knot in a laid-back, elegant wedding in the Cotswolds last September. The search for Lily’s dream wedding dress had begun but after a few appointments elsewhere she found herself still searching for a look that felt authentic to her. Luckily my amazing team were ready and waiting to turn that around!

“The other dresses were beautiful,” she said, “but I hadn’t found anything that I really felt myself in until I visited Halfpenny.”

Accompanied by her mum and sister, Lily made her way to our Bloomsbury boutique to meet our wonderful stylist Megan who was on hand to help her find her dream dress.

“Megan was wonderful, she really listened and made us all feel so looked after. She suggested trying a slip dress, which I hadn’t thought of before. When she paired the Iris slip with the delicate Blossom top and silk sash, I looked at my mum and sister who had tears in their eyes, and I knew I had found my dress.

I felt elegant and timeless which is all I ever wanted, and totally myself. It was all the little details I fell in love with, the delicate dipped back of the blossom top, the little buttons and cap sleeves, the beautiful bow at the back. I felt so comfortable and the very best version of myself. I just loved how piecing together beautiful separates created a dress that felt like it had been waiting for me all along.”

On the morning of the wedding day, John gifted Lily a pair of diamond earrings from Dinny Hall, her favourite designer. Lily wore her great grandmother’s sapphire ring as her something old, blue, and also borrowed from one generation to the next. The bridesmaids also gifted Lily a delicate gold bracelet to complete her look.

Lily looked stunning on her special day and I’m so happy she had such a wonderful experience in our London boutique. Huge congratulations to the happy couple! Here’s to countless year of happiness together.
