Beautiful bride Melody married Eugene in August of 2023. Choosing a picturesque Cotswolds location, their celebration was filled with soft Summer tones and exquisitely considered details. A quintessential British countryside wedding, the classic style of Euridge Manor made for the perfect backdrop against the summer sun.

Whilst searching for her dream dress, Melody recognised the importance of incorporating her personal style into her look.

“Before visiting Halfpenny,” Melody said, “I would find dresses I loved but would have items I would want to change about the dress (i.e. the shape of the skirt, the straps on the top etc.). I found that many boutiques weren’t able to provide many customisations so I couldn’t get the exact vision I wanted.”

I’ve always loved bridal separates for this very reason and they’re a wonderful way to achieve a unique look by cherry picking your favourite top and skirt, or layering different elements to show off your personality. I always design with my full collection in mind so brides have the choice to pair a top from the latest collection with one of our iconic heritage pieces. That way you can really be your own stylist in our beautiful boutique and create something unique to you, which is exactly what Melody did with this stunning combo!

“My appointment at Halfpenny was so amazing! I loved being able to mix and match different silhouettes and try on different combinations. I ended up choosing the Okotan corset, Okotan skirt, and the Moon skirt. I chose these pieces because I wanted a very contemporary modern bridal look but also desired a very romantic dramatic entrance. I loved how I was able to piece all the items together and come up with a completely unique look that was exactly my personal style. I also loved how I was able to achieve two looks in one, as I took the moon skirt off for my evening reception and was able to have a completely different vibe.”

Melody completed her look with pearl drop earrings, a pearl necklace and silver René Caovilla heels. She looked so beautiful and we are so thrilled she chose to wear Halfpenny London on her special day.
