A Halfpenny London bride chose chic separates and vibrant florals for a timeless wedding celebration.

Newlyweds Rosie and Alex tied the knot in a chic winter wedding in December last year in a timeless, classic celebration peppered with originality. Rosie visited our London flagship boutique during her wedding dress search, but it turns out she was already very familiar with our collection.

“I knew I wanted to be a Halfpenny Bride ever since I joined my sister for her bridal appointment a few years before,” she said. “My appointment at Halfpenny really is a special memory I will never forget. Lola helped me every step of the way. As someone that doesn’t find it easy to feel comfortable in everything I wear, Lola made me feel confident, relaxed and reassured. The personal touch was so appreciated, at one of my seamstress appointments Lola had popped in to check on how I was doing. Her reaction to seeing me in my dress was filled with such genuine emotion; it really stayed with me.”

“I fell in love with the sleeves, the moment I saw them on Instagram, I knew I had to have them! Keeping in mind silhouettes that suit my figure, I wanted to show off my décolletage and accentuate my waist. Mixing traditional bridal touches with modern flare; the French silk of my dramatic veil and the cinched waist of the Oliver Corset paired perfectly with the Mikado Puff Sleeves and voluminous Ellie Skirt. I felt amazing. I truly felt I had never looked better. I was glowing from the inside out the entire day!”

When it came to the finishing touches for her big day decor, Rosie turned to Sage flowers to created a modern display of blooms.

“I adored my flowers. I wanted to create something different, and steer away from the obvious. I trusted Sage completely to create a concept to suit the design elements I already had in place. They didn’t disappoint! The colour palette and floral choices were pieces I would never have thought to pair together. Modern and beautiful. I was blown away when I saw them.”

Rosie looked sensational on her big day and I’m thrilled we were able to play a part in her special day. Huge congratulations to the happy couple!
