Gorgeous Georgie | a halfpenny london bride
Beautiful bride Georgie married her new husband Jordan Hendriks this spring. The couple couldn’t wait to spend time with their nearest and dearest and wanted to fill their special day with personal touches unique to them.
Before visiting our London flagship boutique, Georgie was really struggling to find a dress she felt suited her style.
“Nothing I tried felt like me,” she said. “It was all either too traditional, or didn’t have the edge I wanted, and just didn’t feel right. As soon as I walked into my appointment at Halfpenny, I knew I had found the place I had been looking for – I just had to narrow down the dress! I was put at ease right at the beginning of the appointment. Megan, my stylist, had already put out a number of the garments I’d selected before my appointment and helped me into them. She was incredibly kind, helpful, encouraging and patient throughout – suggesting different items that might go together, and getting others that I hadn’t previously considered to find the perfect outfit. I never felt any pressure to make any quick decisions or to commit to buying something, which I really appreciated it. It was definitely the best experience I had, and I would highly recommend it to any soon-to-be brides.”
After having fun trying various combinations, Georgie chose our Iris slip, Daniel top and Mayfair skirt for her special day.
“The Iris slip was so simple and stunning, and I loved the idea that I could layer it. When it came to wear something over the top, I love a statement sleeve (it was the only thing my husband was certain would be part of my dress), and so as soon as I put it on I knew that I had to wear it! And the Mayfair skirt I think speaks for itself - it just added the perfect edge that I was looking for whilst still being absolutely gorgeous and light enough to walk around in. Altogether, having three different pieces gave me options for a day to night look – something I hadn’t even considered before. Although I was originally just planning to wear the Iris slip and Daniel top in the evening, I got so warm from dancing, the top ended up coming off too by the end of the night!”
Our bridal separates have so much versatility and I love that brides can choose their perfect ceremony look yet still have the option to transform their outfit for the evening celebration. Georgie looked incredible and I’m so happy she decided to be a Halfpenny London bride. Huge congratulations Georgie and Jordan! Sending them both all the love and luck in the world.
