Beautiful Amy and new husband Matt brought their closest friends and family together for their elegant, romantic spring wedding this year. The couple carefully chose their vendors and suppliers so that their special day would be a reflection of who they are, and a celebration of their life together so far.

Amy had always known she wanted a Halfpenny London dress. “I’d followed Halfpenny for a long time before Matt and I got engaged,” she said. “I saw Holly Willougby and Millie Mackintosh wearing Halfpenny London gowns and loved the romantic, whimsical style that the dresses provided.”

Keen to find a local stockist so she could bring her grandmother along to the appointment, Amy made her way to our wonderful stockist Ghost Orchid in Hull. Here, her eyes fell on our Mayfair dress. “I tried on the Mayfair dress first and fell completely in love with it.” She hadn’t come across a gown that truly felt like her, but when trying on the Mayfair it was love at first sight.

Pastel coloured spring flowers transformed Amy and Matt’s venue, creating a romantic and whimsical setting and Amy’s bridal bouquet featured some of her favourite seasonal blooms. To add the finishing touches to her wedding look, she wore Loeffler Randall shoes and dainty jewellery.

“Enjoy the day as if you are the guest of honour, not the host,” Amy said when asked about advice for future brides. “You have people with you in your bridal party, family and vendor team which will deal with any problems or questions – just enjoy the day.”

Amy looked radiant! The Mayfair, a romantic design with its delicious ruffled shoulders and frilled skirt, is just perfect for her. I’m so pleased that we could play a small part in her special day and wish her and Matt a beautiful future together.
