No dream too big, no detail too small.
Here, Nikki offers her guidance on how couples can realise their vision for the ultimate wedding floral display.
Nikki, what advice would you have for a couple beginning to conceptualise their wedding florals? Where should they start?
Couples should start with the look of their ideal day, the number of guests and how they want to feel on their wedding day. Importantly they will need to think about budget, as it’s better to have fewer people and create a more magical day with greater impact on flowers, wonderful food and wine, in an amazing venue.
What does the typical process look like when you're working with clients for their wedding?
To start our client’s journey, we would first ask for inspiration images and set up a meeting in person as we feel it’s much better get a real feel for their mood and concept this way. We will then present moodboards with potential flowers and design. Following from the initial moodboards, we put together a full proposal with renders and ideas to work through with the client. We would then do a site visit and sample free of charge so that there are no surprises on the day.
Working with fabulous bridal designers like Kate, we love to come to final dress fittings with the bridal bouquet so the bride knows exactly how the bouquet will look with her dress.
Much like creating a bespoke wedding dress, the client will have to use their imagination when commissioning a bespoke floral display. How do you help a client visualise the final outcome of your work?
We provide bespoke proposals for each client with detailed moodboards of flowers. Depending on the size of the wedding, drawings will then go to renders of the venue and interior, helping the client to visualise how it will look.
What do you want a bride to feel on her special day when she walks into her venue for the first time?
That she has been transported to the day of her dreams.
What makes for an unforgettable wedding in your eyes?
Making the process of working with any supplier’s fun, creative and utterly enjoyable and immersive. Relationships with your suppliers are incredibly important and enables us to create something so beautiful, so bespoke that you could never wish for anything more.
If you could only give one piece of advice to brides about their wedding florals, what would it be?
Be Wild at Heart!
