Newlyweds Charlie and Angus tied the knot in spring this year, gathering their loved ones together in a rustic venue in Scotland. A gorgeous array of bright flowers and an abundance of disco balls added a touch of drama.

Our Bloomsbury flagship boutique was the very first one Charlie visited when she started her wedding dress search. “The bar was set unbeatably high, and no dress shop I visited thereafter could compare,” Charlie said. “Walking into the Halfpenny store was like stepping into a dream. Every single piece is so beautifully designed and crafted and the atmosphere inside is ethereal. I had the absolute pleasure of having Lola as my consultant and she guided me through the process with such warmth – it was like having a friend by my side. The whole experience was so amazing, and I remember it being the first time it really sank in that I was a bride!”

Charlie experimented with our collection of bridal separates to create a look that reflects her personality and embraces all her uniqueness. “I chose the Ruffle Rose skirt and the Breeze corset. The Ruffle Rose felt so right for me with the perfect amount of drama, whimsy and fun. It paired so perfectly with the satin of the corset.”

The moment a bride knows the dress is The One is different to everyone. In Charlie’s case, it was the way it made her feel, above else. “I had never felt so beautiful and knew Angus would be starstruck when he saw me.”

On her wedding day, Charlie paired her corset and skirt with her mother’s pearl earrings and a diamond pair gifted to her by her new husband Angus. She also added a long, elegant veil that elevated the look even more.

Charlie looked incredible on her special day, I am so glad we could play a part in her wedding. We wish the newlyweds so much love and happiness together!
