Beautiful bride Sharna married her new husband Luke in September of 2023 in Crowcombe Court, Somerset, complimenting the beautiful scenery with neutral florals and some added textural decor. Sharna and Luke were very keen to make sure their wedding truly represented them as a couple, and I love how they achieved this!

Like many brides, Sharna didn’t know what to expect whilst dress shopping but she needn’t have worried! Our attentive stylist Megan was there to guide her through the process.

“I had mixed feelings going into my appointment” Sharna said, “but Megan, my stylist, immediately made me (mum, mother-in-law and best friend, Tiana ) feel at ease. She was so calming throughout the whole appointment and made it such a wonderful experience.

Halfpenny was the only dress appointment I booked; I loved the idea of separates, having the ability to mix and match and having pockets!”

“I looked in the mirror; I was completely overwhelmed with emotion and started crying. Mum & Tiana were then in tears too, it sounds so dramatic but it’s exactly how it played out – it was unreal.”

“I remember Megan saying ‘I want you to try on the Charlotte Dress – it’s everything you have loved so far but in a dress’. Honestly, I was unsure as I had envisioned myself in separates but within the short time I had been there, I completely trusted Megan and she was so so right! The Charlotte Dress was the first & last dress I tried on, and it was purely based on Megan’s recommendation on what I had loved throughout my appointment. We tried it on with a beautiful long veil, which was just perfect. Everything about the Charlotte dress was magic; the fabric, the fit; the way it draped so effortlessly. As soon as I put it on, I instantly fell in love with the fabric. I remember feeling it and saying to Megan, this feels beautiful!

When I stepped [out of the fitting room], the look on my Mum & Tiana’s face said it all (they were teary!). I looked in the mirror; I was completely overwhelmed with emotion and started crying. Mum & Tiana were then in tears too, it sounds so dramatic but it’s exactly how it played out – it was unreal. The reaction, how perfect she felt on & how amazing she made me feel; I had never been more certain of anything – Charlotte was the one!“

The Charlotte dress was the perfect choice for Sharna. It’s actually very similar to the corset I wore on my own wedding day, with the exact same base which really makes you feel incredible.

She paired the dress with the gorgeous Camellia sandals from Loeffler Randall and chose a romantic bouquet from Nudo blooms, filled with neutrals and pops of lilac. She looked incredible and I’m thrilled she chose to wear Halfpenny London on her special day.
