Although we’ve technically been back a little while, my feet still haven’t touched the ground! We had the most incredible time in New York earlier this month where we were met lots of our amazing current and prospective stockists while also welcoming the press into our little Halfpenny London world.

My wonderful mum’s influence on me is profound and far-reaching. Josephine was a knitwear designer and my design career started when I used to sit under her table when I was little, gathering up all of her scraps of wool and fabric to make dresses for my dolls.

Beautiful bride Harriet married her lovely hubby Drew in December last year. As the couple were getting married on Dartmoor National Park in the depths of winter, they decided to embrace the elements with a dark green colour scheme, a dress that would sway in the wind and lots of gorgeous winter flowers.
Stunning Hannah | A real Halfpenny London bride
Beautiful bride Hannah married her beau in October last year. The couple tied the knot in the Catskills in upstate New York in a pair of beautiful, restored barns. The ceremony and cocktail hour were outside, set against the stunning foliage that the area is known for in October, letting the beautiful natural setting be the main focus.

Beautiful bride Amy and her lovely hubby tied the knot in a cosy and rustic countryside festival wedding full of personality and gorgeous Scottish touches. “My husband is Scottish so we definitely wanted the wedding to include some of his Scottish traditions. But mainly, with it being a summer wedding and what with us both coming from very creative families, we wanted a very relaxed, rustic, country, festival theme.”

Beautiful bride Anna and her new hubby tied the knot in December last year. Their big day was a relaxed, countryside celebration surrounded by their nearest and dearest. Being a wedding planner herself, Anna has seen lots and lots of wedding dresses so she wanted something completely different that she really felt like herself in, eventually deciding to go with our sequinned Celine skirt, Oliver corset and Toby top.

Beautiful bride Stacey and her gorgeous hubby tied the knot in August lat year in a classic, romantic wedding with a gorgeous blush colour scheme. Stacey had tried some dresses before coming to visit us but struggled to find exactly what she was looking for.
Beautiful Emma | A real Halfpenny London bride
Beautiful bride Emma and her lovely hubby tied the knot last August in a relaxed, yet glamorous city wedding. Their ceremony was at Leicester Cathedral followed by a short walk through the city to a Victorian pub, King Richard III. Their reception was very laid back and felt like a wonderful party! The couple treated their guests to homemade sloe gin favours and bespoke cocktails.

Our beautiful bride Lizzi married her gorgeous hubby in a relaxed autumnal ceremony. The couple love the light at the end of October and made the gorgeous changing colours of the trees part of their decor. Lizzi makes a great point about that pressure some brides-to-be feel about their wedding. It doesn’t have to be like that!

Happy new year! I hope you had a lovely festive season, whatever you got up to. We’re kicking off 2019 with beautiful bride Katherine’s destination wedding. Katherine married her new hubby in September last year in a laid back, modern Greek wedding on the island of Paros where her family have a summer house. Every element of this beautiful wedding was sourced from the island.

“I wanted a dress that was simple yet fashionable, and appropriate for the venue. After going to 8 or 9 appointments and not loving anything, I went on my own to Halfpenny London, on my friend Jamie’s recommendation. The minute I walked into the beautiful, vintage inspired showroom I knew that’s where I’d find it. I chose a Custom Clemence gown, which I saw in a blush colour practically growing off the rack with its floral appliqués. I had it made in ivory as it better suited my skin tone and the venue. I wore it with a simple long veil, also from Halfpenny. Kate is so talented and her team was such a pleasure to work with!”
